Shipping
Orders are packed daily as we receive them, and most orders are packed and shipped within 1-3 days (Courier pick up days are Tues to Friday). Shipping may be subject to delay during holidays and busy sale periods, and NZ Statutory Holidays.
Local Pickups:
If you'd like to place an order for local pickup, simply select local pickup at checkout and you won't be charged any shipping fees. You will be notified by email once your order has been packed and is ready to be collected from our store.
Shipping Rates:
- NZ Urban (up to 2 kg): $10.50
- NZ Rural (up to 2 kg): $16.00
- NZ Urban (over 2 kg or oversized): $20
- NZ Rural (over 2 kg or oversized): $26
- Australia: economy semi-tracked $25.00, fully tracked $45.00 (up to 2kg).
- International: Calculated case by case. Get in touch for further information.
Please note: The Customer is responsible for any customs or import fees associated with your country. If a semi-tracked option is selected, limited tracking information will be available to both parties. If a parcel is returned to the shop, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund less the processing fees that have been incurred by the shop.
Please bear this in mind when ordering internationally.
Return Policy
Returns and Exchanges:
We have a 7 day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be in the same condition that you received it, un-wound/caked and unused, along with all of it's tags and original packaging. You will need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase. Please note, refunds are not given where you have simpley changed your mind.
To start a return, you can contact us at shop@themakery.nz. Please note that returns will need to be sent to our shop address at the customer's expense.
Damaged Goods or Mistakes:
We do our best to ensure both quality and accuracy, but on occasion you may receive a damaged or defective item or incorrectly packed parcel. If this happens we are very sorry and we want to make it right! Please consider that while we do our utmost to ensure colour accuracy on the website, all screens can display colours differently.
Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us as soon as possible if the item is defective, damaged or if you have received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. If we find that the error lies with us, we will replace or refund at no cost to you.
Cancellation of an Order:
We reserve the right to cancel an order if:
(a) we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered
(b) we do not deliver to your area
(c) one or more goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error on our site.
If we do cancel the order we will notify you by email and will refund to you any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Non-Returnable Items:
Some items are not eligible for return or refund such as:
- Digital patterns, printed patterns, pattern books or magazines
- Discounted or sale items
- Gift cards
- Any one-of-a kind or custom items, or "one-off" stock
We cannot be liable for returned goods which are lost or damaged in transit, so please ensure you obtain delivery tracking and relevant insurance for return parcels.
